Off Grid Expo – be part

Be part of the OFF-GRID Expo + Conference (December 2 – 3, 2021) in Augsburg, Germany!

The international Off-Grid-Community will be meeting again from December 2 to 3, 2021 at the OFF-GRID Expo + Conference in Augsburg and also online. A hybrid event is planned in December following the purely digital event in 2020 which attracted over 500 participants from 46 nations. In addition to the established themes of off-grid solar, wind and hydropower systems and a self-sufficient power supply, the experts will also discuss decentralized water supply and treatment for the first time.

Exhibitors and visitors are eagerly awaiting the return of face-to-face discussions. „Victron Energy is delighted that the OFF-GRID Expo + Conference 2021 will take place again this year and that the face-to-face event can happen. We are looking forward to showcasing Victron Energy’s new products and engaging with customers in this fast-moving and growing market. There are many innovations from smaller solar home systems to large 3-phase systems that we want to present again this year,“ says Bon Hopman from premium partner Victron Energy.

High ranking experts gather at the OFF-GRID Conference powered by the Alliance for Rural Electrification from Brussels. “This year, ARE is proud to join forces with Green People’s Energy and UNIDO ITPO Germany to deliver an exciting programme. We’ll delve into new and innovative topics highlighting the nexus between energy & water, sustainable mining solutions & local community electrification, energy storage, and powering agriculture. We look forward to having you with us in Augsburg!” says David Lecoque, CEO of the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE).

The OFF-GRID Expo + Conference is considered the most important off-grid event in the sector and is aimed at individuals and companies who are interested in self-sufficient power supply and standalone solutions, including commercial companies, aid organizations, installers, agricultural and forestry companies, mobility equipment suppliers, public administration bodies and universities. Over 500 experts from Africa, America, Asia and Europe took part in the event last time, which was held online due to Covid-19. The high-caliber, English-language trade congress with the trade fair focuses on all the themes relating to off-grid solar, wind and hydropower systems and a self-sufficient power, which are particularly important in rural areas and in aid to developing regions. The official conference partner of the event is the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE). The other partners are Phaesun, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO ITPO Germany) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) (the German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation).

The trade conference will take place at the Messe Augsburg on December 2, 10:00 – 17:00 and on December 3, 9:00 – 16:00. Tickets are now available from the online shop.
